TAFE VC 3

The TAFE VC is an established state funded virtual learning platform offering a range of e-learning products and services to a diverse group of students and organisations including TAFE, ACE, registered training organisations, industry and enterprise, schools and Government agencies.

A major upgrade of the TAFE VC Learning Management System commenced in December 2005, TAFE VC 3 is now available to all eligible organisations.

TAFE VC organisation models

TAFE VC 3 provides organisations with the ability to self-manage the TAFE VC Learning Management System. To reduce the administration effort required e-Works is offering three models of operation.

The Enterprise model is designed for larger organisation with established support pathways. The model provides for the greatest autonomy and flexibility, including the management of students, courses and the structure of the learning environment and integration capability.

The Basic model provides a simplified learning structure and management of students and courses are administered by the organisation via a web interface management tool. This model is designed for small to medium sized organisations looking to reduce administration overheads.

The Basic - Administered model provides a simplified learning structure and management of students and courses are administered by e-Works on behalf of the organisation for a fee.

The comparison matrix provides a detailed overview.

Note that an organisation may begin using one model and later transition to another model in response to changing capacity.
