Screen Resolution:
800 pixels x 600 pixels
This is the most used screen resolution. However some older computers
are configured in 640 x 480 pixels. This resolution will make it more
difficult to read but not impossible.
Browser should
be Javascript
Enabled The TAFE VC uses many Javascript commands. Javascript is a
language allowing more interactivity than HTML.
Accept Cookies
set to ON
Cookies are small data objects stored on your hard drive to allow
"shortcuts" when accessing individual sites often.
Correct Proxy
Setting Proxy servers are often used when accessing the Internet from
within an organisation like a TAFE Institute. If one exists, the Web
browser, either Internet Explorer or Netscape, have to be configured
to recognise the proxy server.
Internet Connection
A good Internet provider will ensure speedy connection to the TAFE
VC. The TAFE VC has a very fast connection to the Internet and is
rarely the cause of access problems.
