E-Learning Tools Overview Teaching Online Using the TAFE VC (WEBCT) Using Online Courseware Catalogue (Resources Catalogue) E-Learning Tools Overview The TAFE VC teaching and learning environment (WebCT) offers teachers a range of options to assist them to manage their courses. Some of the main features include: Online assessment tools Student tracking Simplified basic course creation Selective release of materials to students Personal student websites Calendar Student notes/journals Glossary Bulletin board (also called the Web Discussion) Internal course email Chat tool Whiteboard Any or all of the functionality can be chosen and offered within the teaching and learning environment. Some may be from superseded Training Packages. Much of the content in them is still very valid and are available for use or modification. Your organisation may already be involved with the TAFEVC.
