Once you are logged into the TAFE Virtual Campus you are presented with your customised "my TAFE VC" page.

On the "my TAFE VC" page there are four important sections as follows

1. Options

There are a number of options that allow you to manage your access to the TAFE Virtual Campus including changing your password.

2. Announcements

The Announcements section provides you with up to date information about what is happening in the TAFE Virtual Campus and includes tips on how to effectively use the TAFE Virtual Campus.

Check this section regularly for any new information.

3. Unit/Module Listings

There is also a list of all of the Units/Modules in which you are currently enrolled. This list provides you with the name and code of each unit/module along with your teacher's name

Each unit/module highlights new information as it becomes available. This may include new mail and bulletins, messages, assignments or quizzes. You can go directly to each item by clicking on it.

For example if you click on the "There are new Bulletin Board postings" you can directly access the Bulletin Board to see your new messages.

In this example we are enrolled in only one unit/module "Introduction to TAFE VC 2". Clicking on the name of the unit/module title takes you to your online classroom (the Unit/Module Homepage). From here you can access the communication, resources, assessment and other online functions that your teacher has provided as part of your online unit/module.

4. Links

The links section of the myTAFE VC page allows you to add links to some of your favourite sites on the Internet. The TAFE VC administrator adds the Standard Links.

You can add your own links by clicking on the Manage Links.

You will get this screen

This allows you to then click on Add Link

In the Name field enter the title of the link and in the Location (URL) field add the address for the web sites that you wish to link to. To complete the link click on add link.
